This is a coffin. It is made of clear pine boards, wood glue and nails. The lid is separate and there are no hinges or handles. Made to order and by hand each time.
To be clear, many of the people who are purchasing these are not (at least immediately) using them as burial containers, but as part of a Gothic aesthetic. A kind of practical Memento Mori, useful as a coffee table or storage container, but also suitable and PERFECTLY LEGAL to use as a funeral and burial container for a deceased human.
Unless otherwise specified by the person ordering this product, the outside dimensions are standardized to the following - 72” tall, 24” across widest part, 18” deep (top is 16” across, bottom is 12” across)
